Baan Mika is a large 6 bedroom luxury beachfront villa, located in the area of Choeng Mon on the north-east side of Koh Samui. The various living areas and buildings at the villa are positioned around an infinity edged chemical free swimming pool with plenty of comfortable sun loungers and a terrace and gardens that look out to a white sand beach. The property offers a mix of indoor and outdoor living areas suitable for the warm tropical climate. To the left of the swimming pool as you look out to sea is an outdoor kitchen and alfresco dining area and to the right is an outdoor lounge with comfortable sofas. Both of these areas are under the cover of a thatched roof sala which makes them the ideal place to relax and enjoy the in-house chef service or a pool side BBQ with friends and family.

The main lounge area opens out onto the gardens and pool via large sliding doors that keep the room cool and allow plenty of natural light. Large sofas, a high vaulted wooden ceiling, natural wood flooring and interesting Asian decor create a relaxing ambience where guests can enjoy a good movie on the wall-mounted wide screen TV. The villa has satellite channels, a DVD and CD player and wifi. This well designed living area also has an office space and guest WC. Over to the other side of the property is a huge kitchen and dining area with a large wooden dining table that comfortably seats 12. Here guests can enjoy tasty treats cooked by the in-house chef or, for those who like cooking and entertaining, there is an extremely well equipped European style kitchen.

The 6 bedrooms at the villa certainly don’t fail to impress. Each is equipped with an electronic safe, wide screen TV and Bose sound system which is integrated throughout the property. All the bedrooms have modern well designed en-suite bathrooms with 5 of the bedrooms featuring bathtubs and large showers and one featuring an outdoor terrazzo bathtub. The bedrooms have garden views and spectacular terraces.

The beach at Choeng Mon which is located on the north east of Koh Samui is sheltered within a large bay. Calm, shallow waters and soft white sand make it an ideal family setting. Kayaks are available to rent and there are a few beach massage stalls. However it is a great place to simply relax with a drink and watch the boats come and go. Visible from the beach is a tiny island known as Koh Fan Yai which at low tide is accessible by foot and makes a fantastic adventure for children. There is a handful of restaurants and bars on the beach and yet more on the road which also has a good selection of shops. The area is peaceful with a low and leisurely pace of life.
