The View

This impressive 5 bedroom luxury villa, aptly named  ‘The View’, is located on the picturesque south west coast of Koh Samui in the area of Taling Ngam and commands epic views of the tropical surroundings, ocean and neighbouring islands. The villa’s design is stylish and modern and cleverly combines contemporary architecture with the natural environment to achieve something very special indeed.

The villa has the perfect mix of interior and exterior living areas and most of the rooms in the property open up fully towards the wonderful tropical view. Large sliding doors and the use of lots of glass ensure that every chance is maximised to provide the ultimate visual experience from within the villa. A sleek and modern kitchen and dining room with dining table to seat 14 and a spacious lounge with large sofas and a pull down movie screen leads seamlessly to a sun terrace and infinity edged swimming pool with a large jacuzzi. To the side of this is a well kept lawn and gardens that lead down to the golden shores of Taling Ngam beach.

Two of the bedrooms are located in the main building of the villa and accessed via a central glass staircase. The remaining bedrooms are located within the villas’s lush tropical gardens. All bedrooms are fully air conditioned, have wide screen TV and have well appointed en-suite bathrooms and sun decks or terraces. The villa also features a kids bunk room with 6 beds, games and toys and a wide screen TV.

There never needs to be a dull moment whilst staying at The View as the owners have taken every care to make sure that every guest will be satisfied whatever their particular needs and tastes may be. The villa has a massage deck and other features include beach cinema, a BBQ, a gym, swimming pool, waters-sports, bicycles, yoga classes, board games, books and much, much more!! Services at The View include house keeping, a private chef, bar keeping service and security.

Just a 15 minute drive away is the vibrant area of Lamai Beach with a diverse mix of shops, bars, restaurants and nightclubs, and on Sunday night why not visit the Lamai walking street (street market)  where locals exhibit home made arts, crafts, clothes and tasty Thai nibbles.

Some might say that the area is the virgin coast of the island as it is much less developed than the likes of Lamai which is only a 15 minute drive away. If you have the patience and are lucky enough, you may spot pink dolphins swimming in the ocean here. Taling Ngam has an old Temple called ‘Wat Kiri Wongkaram’ meaning ‘mountainous temple’ which is the resting place of a mummified monk.
