Villa Soham

This beautiful villa was skilfully designed so that it combines the contemporary architecture with natural materials from the Indonesia archipelago. It comes with air-conditioning, casual alfresco living and dining spaces, generously sized air-conditioned bedrooms and bathrooms, a large crystal-clear pool that sits by the cliff edge, and a well-equipped gym and massage area, with a sauna and steam room too.

After a delicious breakfast that has been served on the delightful dining terrace, why don’t you spend your morning pushing weights in the gym, working up a sweet sweat in the sauna and then cooling off with a few laps in the pool. After a morning of activity, you’ll deserve a loving lunch in the poolside pavilion, that is then followed by a siesta on the deck and a massage. Take your car to Pandawa Beach for an afternoon dip, then sink into a deep relaxing bath with picturesque ocean views before joining your friends and family at the pool pavilion for sunset cocktails with a seafood barbecue that has been prepared by a highly accomplished chief – who’s part of a ten-person staff that are dedicated to making your time at Villa Soham as magical as it can be.

While Villa Soham can host up to 12 guests, it is perfect for multiple families or groups of friends, as many as 22, when combined with Villa Hamsa. Convenient for singles and those who are travelling with kids as three of the villa’s bedrooms can be set up as twins.

It is part of an enclave on the southernmost of Bukit peninsula. This unspoilt part of Bali feels like a paradise, far from the bustle of best known tourism hotspots, yet it is only an hour from the airport and is close to some of the islands best-known attractions, such as Ravishing seafood restaurants of Jimbaran Bay, the astounding Uluwatu sea temple and some world-famous surf breaks. With magical sandy coves that are protected by sky-high cliffs.

The Bukit, which translates in English to ‘hill’, is a limestone region situated at the southernmost point of Bali. Once mainly inhabited by fisherman and seaweed farmers, it is now arguably one of the most prestigious area on the island. Visitors can expect to find top end resorts, exclusive villas, boutique hotels and restaurants, and one of Asia’s top golf clubs,  making the area an attractive choice for those seeking a luxury lifestyle. Although Bukit has seen recent development, the area is still surprisingly unspoilt with a landscape rich in flora and fauna, beautiful beaches and interesting and diverse aquatic life. At certain times of the year, those lucky enough may get a glimpse of migrating whales, and turtles can often be seen swimming in the crystal clear waters close to the shore. The coastline is popular with sun worshippers and surfers and has many small and often unfrequented coves, ideal for those who simply want to relax undisturbed close to the ocean. However, one should always be aware that rip-tides can be dangerous in Bali and some beaches are not safe to swim.
