Villa Samadhana

This wonderfully spacious villa is located in the area of Sanur Ketewel, on south east coast of Bali. Villa Samadhana which in the ancient Sanskrit language means inner peace, is designed to deliver exactly that! Set inside an impressive 7,400 square metre plot amidst beautifully landscaped tropical gardens and lush green lawns, the property enjoys relaxing views across rice fields to the ocean and Mount Agung in the near distance.

Guests can enjoy the open walled entertainment pavilion with a TV and sofas at one side, and billiard table at the other, opening out onto a 25 metre swimming pool and double-sided sun deck. The villa features a lounge and dining areas, both inside and outside. It also has a well provided TV and entertainment room with lounge seating. For those who like to cook and entertain, there is a large and well equipped kitchen, with all the modern appliances one could ask for and polished granite work tops. This huge commercial grade kitchen opens out onto a spacious wooden decking area.

The five bedrooms at the villa certainly don’t fail to impress. Guest bedrooms 1 and 2 are suitable for children or adults, room 1 has a queen size bed and private balcony and 2 has twin beds and a TV and DVD player. Both share an immaculately appointed ensuite bathroom and outdoor shower and sun deck and both are air conditioned and are connected by a corridor. The next two bedrooms are located 50 metres from the main living area for privacy. Teak flooring and an abundance of space create a relaxing environment. These rooms have en suite, garden bathrooms, sun deck and self contained kitchen and breakfast bar. Finally the Master suite which stands in its own private pavilion features a king size bed which rests on a teak floor, with glass doors leading out to a private garden and sea view, a TV lounge with large wide screen TV and DVD player and a floating reading room. The huge ensuite bathroom enjoys a large rectangular terrazzo bathtub, walk in rain shower and double vanity units.

Services and amenities at the the villa include a butler, maid service, private chef with Asian, western and vegetarian menus and private security. Massage and spa treatments and a baby sitter are available on request. The property has wireless internet throughout, a landline for local calls, a multitude of TVs and DVD players, satellite TV channels, CD players, iPod docking stations and a sound system.

This large and lavish villa oozes style and sophistication and is suitable for family holidays or weddings and other events. The area of Sanur Ketewel is of significant cultural and historical interest and the villa is within easy reach of some of Bali’s finest beaches.

Sanur is located on Bali’s south-east coast around 16 kilometres from the airport in Denpasar. Visitors to this sleepy village can expect attractive beaches with a good choice of relaxed restaurants and bars. Although compared to the likes of more developed areas, such as Kuta, Sanur is now itself fairly well developed and the area has a number of supermarkets, souvenir shops, boutiques, spas and the newly built Grand Bali Beach Golf Club.

Several kilometres east of Sanur is Ketewel. This scenic and picturesque area is an amalgamation of a number traditional Balinese fishing villages. After the construction of the Klungkung bypass a number of years ago many areas of natural beauty became easier to access. Expect black sand beaches, and spectacular views across to the islands of Penida,  Lembongan and Ceningan as well as Nusa Dua and Sanur.
