The Chalina Estate

Tranquil and peaceful, six bedroom Chalina Estate occupies a stunning location on the bank of a picturesque river in the rural district of Canggu. Designed in the traditional Balinese style, the sumptuous villa features high vaulted alang-alang thatched roofs, sandstone walls, polished stone and dark wood floors.  A fine collection of exotic artefacts and antiques harmoniously blends with stunning modern art works, creating enchanting ambience throughout the estate.

The generously sized living and dining pavilion with plush sofas, abundant relaxation areas, a banquet-sized dining table and sophisticated, fully equipped kitchen, is ideal for common gatherings and socializing. A separate air conditioned lounge is also a cinema room, furnished with comfortable daybeds and boasting  high tech equipment.

Chalina Estate offers six spacious air conditioned bedrooms, bunk room with 5 bunk beds  plus a study that can be converted into an additional bedroom if required. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, TVs with DVD players and small fridges.

There is no shortage of outdoor living space with a vast 35m x 12m swimming pool, surrounded by manicured green lawns. Soak in the sun on comfy loungers on the deck, relax in the shade of large umbrellas or indulge in a traditional massage in the pool’s floating gazebo. Set in the extensive 5,300 square meters of tropical gardens and overlooking emerald rice fields, Chalina Estate exudes serenity and calm, the place to relax and let the stresses of everyday life melt away.

The impressive villa can accommodate up to 14 people and is a perfect venue for family gatherings, weddings and retreats.  Well trained and dedicated team of staff are on hand morning, noon and evening to ensure your holiday is as perfect as possible.

Some might say that Canggu is one of the hippest and most happening destinations in Bali. The name Canggu was originally given only to this small fishing village. However nowadays when people say Canggu they are actually also referring to a collection of other small villages such as Tiyingtukul, Pererenan and Nelayan. The area has many rice fields which add a relaxing rural edge to the landscape. The beach at Canggu is popular with surfers as it has larger swells than other areas nearby, but swimming isn’t advised here as the rip tides can be dangerous. The area is a great place to learn to surf and is also home to the award winning Nirwana Bali Golf Club. Canggu has a diverse selection of restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from and also a variety of boutiques selling clothes and swimwear. Places of interest to visit nearby include Pura Tanah Lot, a large temple that stands on the ocean rocks, and Seminyak which has a high concentration of fine dining restaurants and cocktail bars.
