The Arsana Estate

The palatial Arsana Estate sits on its own extensive two-hectare land, bordering a river in the picturesque rural area in the south west of Bali. The opulent pavilion is open-sided, fan-cooled and adorned with stunning oriental antiques and artefacts. The living area overlooks the gardens and manicured green lawns and opens onto the large pool deck, a great spot for soaking up the sun.

Tabanan’s coastline stretches around 30 km along which are two famous surfing beaches known as Medewi and Balian which are both black sand beaches and have the longest point breaks on the island of Bali. The area is rich in agriculture, rice being a major crop here, but other crops include coconut plantations, coffee and tropical fruits, all adding to the variety of the landscape. Mount Batukau, which stands tall at an impressive 2276m is rich in flora, fauna and wildlife, with many rare species being found here. Tabanan is definitely off the beaten track and there is a distinct lack of infrastructure. There is a noticeable absence of shops, restaurants and bars, but visitors will be overwhelmed by the natural beauty of this magical region.
