Visible from the beach is a tiny island known as Koh Fan Yai which at low tide is accessible by foot and makes a fantastic adventure for children. There is a handful of restaurants and bars on the beach and yet more on the road which also has a good selection of shops. The area is peaceful with a low and leisurely pace of life.
