Situated on Bali’s southwest coast, surrounded by rice fields and set amid large tropical gardens, this 5 bedroom luxury villa offers a spacious and private getaway with an impeccable design and abundance of style.

The villa has various indoor-outdoor living spaces all designed with tropical living in mind. An open walled central lounge, furnished and decorated in a Zen-like vintage Chinese and Japanese style, provides a comfortable and inspiring place to relax. The combination of ultra modern architecture and Asian decor creates something very unique and throughout the property the use of natural materials and darker tones sets Mahatma House apart from most other properties. A second alfresco lounge can be enjoyed in the large gardens next to the swimming pool, where there are also king size day beds and sun loungers with parasols. This area also features a large sala with plenty of cushions, making it a nice a place in which to curl up with a good book and escape the hottest hours of the day.

The villa has a main dining room with seating for 10 guests, next to which is a large, fully modernised and equipped kitchen, and also a casual dining area outside with seats at ground level. Guests have an extensive menu to choose from and a private chef who is also happy to cater for specific culinary and dietary requests. As far as entertainment goes, there is no occasion to be disappointed! The villa has a small library, a total of 3 large wide screen TVs, an entertainment room, satellite channels, DVD players and iPod docking stations. In addition, there is wireless internet throughout the property, a laptop, printer and fax machine.

The bedrooms capture the same zen like ambience that can be enjoyed elsewhere in the villa. The two lavish master bedrooms are named the ‘Sunrise’ and ‘Sunset’ suites, one looking out to views of a Hindu temple, the other to a calming ocean view. Both of these rooms are fully air conditioned with luxurious ensuite bathrooms. The additional corner bedroom has its own private garden, king size beds, and huge mirrors and is fully air conditioned. Finally, the Sunset and Sunrise pavilions have large sunken bathtubs within the rooms, views over the gardens and pool, terraces with stone cushioned seating area and are fully air conditioned with en suite bathroom.

Mahatma House is near to the traditional village of Seseh, and literally a few metres from a striking black sand beach. The beach here has a peaceful and lazy ambience to it and fisherman can often be seen casting out their lines. Another particularly interesting and enjoyable place to visit is the vibrant Hindu temple.

Mathatma House is a gem with its unique and lavish architectural style, abundance of space, idyllic setting and contemporary interior design. It makes an ideal choice for large families or groups of friends and can also be hired for events, parties and weddings to accommodate up to 150 day guests.

Seseh Tanah Lot is a Balinese village, situated on the coast a few kilometres away from Canggu. Customs from earlier times are still practised here and visitors to the area can experience a taste of traditional Balinese culture, courtesy of the friendly and welcoming locals. Tanah Lot Temple, a magnificent sea temple carved out of the rock, attracts a lot of visitors. Its magical appearance, especially at sunset provides outstanding photo opportunities and makes the temple one of the most popular historical sites in Bali. For those wishing to pursue a less commercial holiday experience and aren’t particularly concerned by the lack of infrastructure, Seseh Tanah Lot is a good choice. Although there are not many shops and western style restaurants to be found, visitors have the chance to experience traditional food in some of the local restaurants. An added bonus is the nearby 72 hole, Nirwana Bali Golf Club.
