Baan Lucia

Located on the beachfront in Bangrak on the northern coast of Koh Samui, Baan Lucia is a charming Thai style, 3 bedroom luxury villa.

Large rustic gates enclose the villa and its lush tropical gardens and a water feature provides a relaxing ambience as one approaches the property’s three pavilions. The first of the three pavilions has two bedrooms complete with king size four poster beds, wide screen TVs, DVD players, air-conditioning, beautifully appointed en-suite bathrooms and a small seating area outside. Both these rooms also feature single lounging beds that can also be dressed to serve as extra beds if required. The master suite is situated to the front of the villa and looks out onto a calming view of the ocean, it features a four poster bed and an indoor/outdoor rain shower. Large glass sliding doors open up to a seating area in front of the pool.

The main living area of the villa has a natural wood finish, with well chosen, traditional Thai decor and accent pieces. This spacious lounge features two sofas and two comfortable chairs that face towards a large wall mounted widescreen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player and an extensive selection of movies. The lounge also has a bookshelf for those who enjoy reading. This living area has an adjoining guest bathroom and a Thai style galley kitchen.

To the front of the property is an infinity edged swimming pool and a sun deck with sun loungers and parasols. Two alfresco dining tables can be found here, facing towards the ocean, where guests can enjoy tasty treats prepared by their private chef. This outdoor living area has a Thai style gazebo  making this the perfect place to relax, dine and socialise by day or night.

Baan Lucia is ideal for up to 3 couples or a family and although the villa is private and secure its location is conveniently close to shops and amenities. Just a 5 minute drive away is the famous Fisherman’s Village, a charming promenade full of nice restaurants, bars, and boutique shops.

Situated on the north of Koh Samui between Bophut and Plai Laem and Choeng Mon is Bangrak. A golden sand beach stretches from Fisherman’s village all the way to Big Buddha Temple and most areas are suitable for swimming with excellent views of the island of Koh Phangan. The area has a number of piers that operate boat trips to the mainland, Koh Phangan and other islands. The airport is also located nearby.

Bangrak is home to the impressive Big Buddha Temple which houses a huge golden Buddha that stands high and can be seen from miles away. The temple is positioned on a small island which is joined to Koh Samui by a short causeway and is visited by thousands of tourists every month. Bangrak has a livelier and more colourful night life than the areas that surround it but is still quiet in comparison to Chaweng or Lamai. The village also has a traditional Thai market, selling fish, seafood, fresh produce, fruit, veg and spices and makes for an interesting visit.
