The one way road through the centre has various a variety of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and the occasional  nightclub. By night the beach is a popular place to dine alfresco and watch fire jugglers perform their amazing tricks. Lamai ‘Walking Street’  is a popular Sunday evening event, a Thai market where locals sell tasty street food, arts and crafts, clothes and electronic goods. The area has a few temples which are all worth visiting. Other tourist attractions not to be missed are Hin Ta Hin Yai which translates to Grandmother Granfather rocks, due to their interesting shape! Lamai has two supermarkets, a local market selling fresh produce and an authentic fishing village.
